What is your biggest regret?
Going to college. I went just to please my mother. I was tired of her up my ass telling me that I was going to be a loser. I wasn’t ready. I didn’t know what I really wanted to do. I was interested in culinary arts, so I did that. It turns out that I’m not passionate about cooking, but passionate about eating…lol
If I could go back to college, which I might, I think I would go back to Ivy Tech and get an associate in Health which my main focus would be nutrition and then go to IUSB to get a bachelors. That has always been an interest of mine. I’m not sure yet.
I’ve got other goals that I am focusing on right now, so that isn’t high on the priorities list. I would like to focus on paying off my house, fix my house up and travel. As of right now, I continuing looking more into that by reading books in my spare time on health and trying to decided what I would do with it.
I’m currently happy with my current job and I also make great money there, so there is no real big rush for this decision. I would like to make my decision before the age of 40. That is my deadline.

They are there in your happy times and sad times. When times go rough, they don’t bail out on you. I feel like these type of people are hard to find!I’m really grateful for my baby cakes. He is one of those rare breeds 😀 <3

I discovered “Think and Grow Rich” by: Napolean Hill many years ago. I’ve read the book once, but I listen to the audio book now many times. So many times, I couldn’t even give you a good estimate how many times. I know it takes me about 10 hours to get through it and for the longest time, I would listen to it every day at work. At least 100 times, probably. Seriously, if you never heard this book, get to it! It is life changing!
“I am the master of my fate; the captain of my soul.” Thanks Henley for the quote and Napolean for the book!
Anyone who thinks that they can’t get ahead in life, because they believe that the world is rigged, think again and read the book. If you really want to be successful and have a good life. This one is for you. We all can be successful, we just have to stop limiting ourselves.
What is your favorite music genre?
I dig the “new country” even though it sounds nothing like original country which is something I’m not much of a fan of. New country to me sounds like Rock had a baby with Pop 90’s music…lol

There is no such thing as the meaning of life. If you want meaning, you have to go out and create it. It is up to you to determine it.

Penicillin, amoxicillin, pollen, mold, and I have skin sensitivity issues. I can’t use certain products and tend to have to use hypoallergenic products. I have had all sorts of rashes, bumps and itchys through the years…lol
Dairy have been becoming an issue too over the last few years. If I eat small amounts I’m usually fine, but it gives me the worst gas pains and I end of getting really bad acne on my neck and back. Thanks to genetics for the allergies…lol
When was the first time you were on a plane?
I was 14 and we flew to Chicago to New Jersey. I was scared and my sister was excited. My mom turned to me and said ” Amber, if you cause a scene…I swear to god” And guess who freaked out? Not me..lol..I was the one chilling in the seat, when my sister went into freak out mode. She was crying and running up and down the aisle.
We went out there, because my new born cousin was going to be baptized. Then we drove out to New York city since they lived 30 min. away from the city!

People who don’t think for themselves. Life is short. Don’t follow the crowd. Do the things that make you happy and make your own decisions. I’ve learned my lesson on that one!

What is something you think everyone should do in their lives?
Get to know yourself is the most important thing you will ever do and self development. Why do we do the things we do and say the things we say. The habits we make and the things we break. The passions and the hobbies we forum. The things we want and don’t want. Our goal and dreams for life. It is all essential so we can have a happy life and close relations with others.
What age do you want to live to?
100, I have so many things that I want to do in this life time, so I think if I live to 100, I’ll be able to get them all in…haha. Jason is going to live to be 105, and we will die together. We will be at a beach house over looking the ocean and the sun is setting. We will most likely be cuddling and just die peaceful on the most beautiful day! lol… I know it sound corny, but this is exactly how I want to die.

Be better and do better every year. Making my life better and better every year. Living life on my own terms. Learning new things that will help make my life better. Oh and I can’t forget, a shit load of travel!

Jason. His ambition, passion and determination is what gives me energy to accomplish my own goals. Reasons why I married that man 😉 Marry someone who is a team player, who you can build with, who you can grow with and who will help get you ahead in this world. I love that man so much!
What is something you will NEVER do again?
Getting drunk and partying it up in the club. Don’t get me wrong though. I had lots of fun, but I’m ready to move on to bigger and better things. I have some awesome memories, but time to create new memories and do new things that I also want to do. Plus alcohol drains my energy, and I need energy since I have tons of things I would like to do with my life.
What is your favorite season?
FALL! The turning of the leaves. I can finally wear my leggings outside since it is not so hot and sticky. Hoodies! Pumpkin everything…yum! Halloween! Haunted Houses! Driving my husband crazy when I try to crunch every leaf while we are taking a walk. He says I’m too much like a 5 year old…haha
What are some turning points in your life?
When I was 4, I was outside shooting some hoops. I could hear my parents in the house fighting like they usually do about every freaking day. I remember I ran into the house and said ,” Will you kids grow up already!” Of course, they ignored me like usual and continued to fight. I ran to my room and closed the door. I pushed my back against the door and said, “I never want to treat anyone the way my parents treat each other.” It is sad that I remember that.
When I was 19, I asked my best friend if there was more to life then just partying it up. Her reply was ” Don’t be silly Amber, we aren’t 21 yet.” LOL She did have a point, but I kind of wish I would have stuck to my gut feelings. Instead, I didn’t know what that meant to me yet and didn’t feel like I had a support system, so I continued doing the same thing.
Also at the same time, I realized we live in a robot world. Same conversations, different people. I don’t think a lot of people realize that they really don’t have their own opinions. All their opinions is based on other people’s opinion.
In 2010, I hit rock bottom. There was so much going on in my life. I felt really lonely, I was living with my sucky ex, having family drama which has always been normal, but I was done dealing with it. Working 2 jobs, going to college, about to move into an apartment by myself, my friend was moving. We live in a world where you are told that you must stay in a certain situation “because its family”. Some people will never change and have been fighting over the same stuff before I was born. They don’t care about what is going on in my life and want to use your ear to repeat the same crap for the last 3 decades. I felt so miserable that I really wanted to end my life. I just felt like things will never get better, and I will never have people in my life that truly are there for me. Loneliness had become apart of my life. I remember sitting on the floor with a gun in my hand and then the sun peaked through the window blinds. I remember it hit my face and the warmth on my skin. A good feeling came over me like some other force than myself was with me. It said, “Everything is going to be alright. Now get off the floor, because you have cat hair all over your pants.” I looked down and laughed. Damn you Bob (that was my cat)
There was another time, when an older lady approached me and told me she was my guardian angel, and said somethings that there is no way she would have known about me.
Another time when I was in college and realized this wasn’t for me and dropped out. I was going to college for all the wrong reasons.
And the last time was when I was in a car accident that almost ended my life. I realized life was too short to chase after people who never chase me, so I started moving on past some people and focusing on things that are the most important to me.
What do you want to be remembered for?
Adding value to other people’s lives.
What are some of your personal "rules" that you never break?
I try to practice when I say I’m going to do something, I try to accomplish it. I just don’t want to be that person when 20 years have past and still keep saying that I’m going to do it, but it never happens.
When I make a date to hang out with someone, I try to keep my promise. I don’t like when people bail out on me at the last second, so I don’t do it to others. Of course there are things that happen in life that are the exception to the rule, so I will let it slide if it is a logical reason.
Health is also another one of priorities. Health is wealth. Once that goes, everything else follows. So I practice that every day.
If you could have a never-ending candle that smelled like anything you wanted, what fragrance would you want it to be?
Butt-naked. It is my favorite scent! Plus it brings some really good memories back when I was 17. Thank you South Lake mall in Merrillville!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
astronomer…I love the night sky still to this day! My favorite constellation is Orion. I always have to point it out in the night sky when I see it! For the longest time, that is what I wanted to be. From preschool to kindergarten, I was set on building bird houses for a living…lol. Those are soooo cool! People hated my ideas, so I gave both up.
What were your favorite songs when you were a kid?
God Bless the USA by: Lee Greenwood
Black or white by: Michael Jackson
What was your favorite animal when you were a kid?
Penguin. I was obsessed with them! Every time I went to the zoo, they were the only animals I cared to see.
Who are some of your favorite YouTubers?
What is your worse flaw?
Over thinking. I tend to cause my own stress. The goal in the future is for this flaw to no longer rule me, and find better things to fill my life with that gives me life. I do feel I have made some improvements this year, but I have a long way to go still.
What are some of your goals?
My biggest one is traveling. I love seeing new places and having new experiences. Self-improvement, developing an even better mind-set that I currently have, living life with Jason, inspire others, help others to improve their lives. That’s the main stuff on my bucket list.
If you had to describe yourself as an animal, which one would it be?
I’m more like a cat. I loved to be love just like a cat loves to be petted. But when I’m ready to have my space, I go hide under neath the bed like a cat…LOL…Okay not literally, but you get the point.
